The decision not to use a breathable membrane meant that we had to come up with a new, more suitable way to keep condensation and moist away from the body.
Our solution to the condensation challenge is a patented, hydrophobic 3-D Mesh lining system integrated in our waders. The 3-D mesh Tech™ System creates unrestricted airflow and a constant distance between the outer fabric and your body, keeping condensation and moist away. The 3-D Mesh Tech™ System also delivers great resistance to pressure, minimising squeeze and delivering a completely new wading experience when it comes to comfort. Or as one of our customers put it - “I feel embraced by them”.
Add to this that the 3-D mesh Tech™ system also delivers fantastic isolation capabilities, keeping you warm and cosy. In fact, it has proven so effective that during our years of testing we found that we only needed to dress in the thinnest merino wool base layer, even in water temperatures down to 6 degrees Celsius and air temp below zero, to keep us warm and comfortable.
The LOC 3-D Mesh Tech™ wader ships with a black 30 Denier mesh, suitable for most conditions. There will also be an option of a 3-D mesh Tech™ for colder days, like autumn and winter fishing. This combined 3-D Mesh Tech™ (30 Denier upper part/50 Denier lower part) will be sold separately and available later on.

HOW IT WORKS!
CONDENSATION & SWEAT
The 3D-Mesh Tech™ System delivers constant distance and unrestricted airflow inside your wader, keeping condensation and moist air away from your body.
As you build up sweat it´s transported through the hydrophobic 3D-Mesh where it´s trapped to the surface of the outer fabric. Since your body never gets in contact with the outer fabric you stay dry and comfy during the day.
IMPORTANT!
When done fishing you should turn your LOC Waders inside out to dry. Not only is it always nicer to slide into a pair of dry waders the next morning, it will also prolong the lifespan of the wader (…this goes for all waders regardless of brand by the way).
INSULATION & VENTILATION
The constant distance and unrestricted airflow delivers a layer of insulating air between you and the cold water at all times. This means that you won’t have to dress in thick and heavy undergarments any more, a thin merino wool base layer is all that is needed to stay warm and cosy in all conditions.
DO LOC WADERS GET TOO WARM IN THE SUMMER?
Many believe that our waders is only for cold conditions. Let´s put this straight. On a hot summers day all waders get warm. Even ours, but not more so than ordinary waders. The patented 3-D Mesh Tech System™ also helps with ventilation as you move around. Add to this that you dress very thinly underneath a pair of LOC waders (you only need a very thin Merino long-john regardless of temperature or conditions). To increase ventilation further, simply pull open the zipper and you quickly cool down as you walk. Another tip is to “wet down” your waders when on land on hot days, the cold water will cool the fabric and act as a cooling element.
PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION
The patented 3D-Mesh Tech™ System delivers exceptional resistance to pressure, minimising the uncomfortable “squeeze” effect experienced in ordinary waders. The result is a whole new experience of comfort when wading.
